Not only is this place, amazingly, still around, but it seems to still use this exact same sign.

I took this image with a Soviet point and shoot, of which I have several – this one specifically being the Lomo LC-A, and I managed to get my hands on an actual built-in-Leningrad version prior to production stopping, starting again, and being moved to China. I love Soviet cameras, many are remarkably good even though they were meant as consumer level cameras.

The film was slide film, cross-processed for C41 colour film. I’m not even sure if that’s something I can request of one of the few developers left in the city – which is something I’ll really have to find out, because I have one roll of Kodak Ektachrome slide film that is likely well past its due date that I’d like to use.
